2009 and 2010 Brides + Grooms :: 12.30.08
This is just a quick post to let everyone know that wedding packages will be changing with the design of my new website,
which is coming soon. I am putting a lot of pressure on myself, but I hope to be up and running in February 2009.
Since half of 2009 and some prime dates in 2010 are already booked, I thought this would be a great opportunity for those
who have inquired about my services to lock in 2008 rates and packages. I am REALLY EXCITED to offer some amazing new
features and products with my new packages, so make sure to stay tuned!
I have been so blessed to work with such
wonderful people in 2008 and I am looking forward to seeing what 2009 has in store for me! Thank you all for your continued
support and allowing me to do what I love to do!!!
And since I didn't post a photo in my last blog entry,
here is a lovely shot from Roberta and Justin's wedding:

you!

Lindsay,
Thank you SO MUCH for the beautiful album! We must have already looked at
it 100 times. We can’t put it down!!! Every time we turn the page, we remember
another joyous tidbit from our wedding day. We absolutely love everything about your work but we never
imagined we would be so addicted to looking at our own wedding time and time again. Everything is just
so perfect. Thank you so much for everything. You are more than just our wedding photographer
– we consider you our lifetime friend.

the albums I currently offer. More details coming soon, so stay tuned! I am so excited!!!
:::
"Good morning, beautiful." :: 12.17.08
After the alarm clock goes off a couple times and we both stretch and yawn, he tells me in a low voice with a smile on
his face , "Good morning, beautiful." Those three little words make my day every day. I say it all
the time, but I really am a lucky girl.

Jennifer + Gage :: 12.16.08
I absolutely adore Jennifer and Gage. They are two of the most genuine people I have ever known. (They are
also big time fans of Modest Mouse, which makes them a dandy couple in my book!)
I knew when I pulled up
to the ceremony and saw this tree that it was going to be a great day!

Classic.
Jake and I had fun shooting the rings.

I can post two ring shots, right?
Jake's shot of the bouquet.

Meanwhile, I was photographing Jennifer's shoes. You all know that this is my favorite shoe shot ever.
I know I have an unhealthy obsession with shoes, but can you blame me? This photo looks like a magazine ad.

If I can post two ring shots, I am posting two shoe shots! Do you see that brown blur on the right side of the
photo? That's a horse galloping around my frame.
Once Jake and I returned all of Jennifer's belongings to her (namely her shoes, bouquet, and rings), she
waited patiently for Gage to see her for the first time.

There's the happy couple!

Why am I so in love with this photo?!?! I think it is so perfect. I want a huge canvas of this photo for
my own wall and I am not kidding! I have a gallery in my house full of client photos only. I see it every time
I walk down the hall. It makes me happy and reminds me what an awesome job I have.

A little closer...

Just look at that joy!

You know I love this light!

Another favorite. This one would make a fabulous metallic canvas.

Are you kidding me with this light? Love it!!!

I love this one too. Can I have ten favorites?

Gage requested this one.

So sweet!!!
Ceremony time! I don't usually post too many from the ceremony and I don't know why that is...but I
do love the moment when a father gives away his daughter.

Receiving line time! I don't think I have EVER posted a receiving line photo but I had to share this one.
Jennifer's laugh is so infectious!

This one reminds me of an old Hollywood movie.
First dance. Could they be any cuter?!?!

This sweet couple (Jennifer's grandparents) had been married the longest out of the entire group -- 56 years!!!!.
His advice: give your wife a bouquet every day. It doesn't need to be a bouquet flowers -- it can be a bouquet of
love, kind words, appreciation, etc. Pretty good advice if you ask me!

The groom's cake was Super Mario Brothers themed! Did you know that I can beat Super Mario Brothers on NES
in one man without warping? It is my nerdy claim to fame.

How about a perfect ending to a perfect day?

Jennifer and Gage, thank you so much for sharing your special day with Jake and me. We had a blast and wish you
a lifetime of love and happiness! I hope the photos were worth the wait.
P.S. Merry Christmas, Michele.

Jennifer + Gage -- just one :: 12.14.08
You might remember this lovely photo from my recent canvas ad. Jennifer and Gage had some really fun details at their
wedding, so make sure to stay tuned for the full blog post coming soon!

Jessica + Tyler :: 12.13.08
Jessica and Tyler had a gorgeous wedding at the Scottish Rite in downtown Indianapolis. It was a fabulous day with
lots of love and photographic moments. Since Tyler is also a photographer, I felt truly blessed that he chose me to
photograph his wedding. I also felt just a little pressure because I know how we photographers are...haha.
I'll
start off with the shoes. LOVE LOVE LOVE this shot. It is one of my favorite shoe shots I have ever taken!
I got a lot of weird looks while photographing Jessica's shoes on the doors of the War Memorial but I truly do have a
method to my madness!

I love the feel of this shot. It is like a New York street scene...

I'm sure my Indianapolis blog readers know exactly what this is!
Aren't they adorable together?
I love this one.

So so so sweet -- and one of my favorites from the day.

A little wider now -- the beauty of my 24-70.
Yes, I can do a traditional bride and groom portrait. I love the architecture here.
Okay, this is my favorite from the whole day. It would make a great canvas or album cover!

When you book a wedding with me, you know you are going to get this shot!

The guys are looking good! This is one of my favorite photos ever!!!
While I was shooting the photo above, Jake grabbed this one from behind me. See why it pays to have two
photographers?

Tyler bought watches for his groomsmen and requested a watch shot. Love it! I think it looks like a watch
ad.

Simple details can have such a powerful impact, don't you think?
The handsome groom...

and the beautiful bride.

One of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer is seeing all the rings.

Tyler and Jessica stole a kiss on the steps of the Scottish Rite.
Now, for something a little different! Tyler requested a few HDR shots of the building.

I love the flare on this one!

Finally, a detail shot of one of the cakes. Jessica and Tyler used one and two tiered cakes for centerpieces
at each of the tables. What an awesome idea! These cakes were right up my alley -- they were sleek, modern, sophisticated,
and simple.

Jessica and Tyler, Jake and I had a fabulous time with you. We wish you happiness and love forever!

The best day of my life! :: 12.12.08
You can't see it in this photo, but Justin (our good friend and photographer) is actually bustling my gown. Scratch
that. He is attempting to bustle my gown. Eventually, Ken and Jake horned in on the ordeal and tried to bustle
me. This was all going on while on the street in downtown Indy so I am sure we got a few looks. When the 3 guys
couldn't figure it out, I said the heck with the bustle and proceeded to walk around town with my train down. Later
that evening, my mom, Ken's mom, and Ken's aunt successfully bustled my gown. Within 30 minutes, however, my
mom and sister stepped on my gown while dancing and ripped out the French bustle. It was time I faced the facts -- my
bustle was obviously not meant to be! Yep, my gown got super dirty and was trashed by the end of the night but it was
totally worth it because we got some awesome photos!

my world :: 12.07.08
This guy is my rock and my world. He is the hottest guy I have ever laid eyes on and he just so happens to be my
husband! How did I get so lucky?!?!

Alright, I am done drooling for now. Back to work I go. Happy Monday!

reminder -- free wedding contest :: 12.06.08
I'm going to try to repost this at least once
a week so that it stays somewhere on the main page.
It's
that time of year -- the season for giving -- and I have decided to do another contest and give a very special gift to a deserving
couple. I believe with my whole heart that the world can be a better place if we all give freely, regardless of how
small or large the gift, without strings attached. It is my hope that I can give someone the gift of remembering something
important to them in a beautiful way, through photographs.
This is the reason I am going to be shooting a wedding for
free in 2009!
I am looking for a couple who has a wonderful story or has overcome great odds and cannot afford a lavish
wedding. I am not looking for false stories or a couple who simply wants wedding photography for free. There must
be a real need. I would absolutely love to be a part of a couple's backyard wedding and give them a gift I hope
they will treasure forever.
Here are the rules:
1. E-mail me the
story of a couple who really deserves free wedding photography for their wedding. Each entry must include a recent photo
(about 900 pixels wide) of the couple together.
2. The couple must be getting married in 2009 and already have a set
date and location. Please include this information in your e-mail to me.
3. The couple must be willing to be featured
on this blog and have their story
posted here.
4. The deadline for submitting stories and photos is December
14, 2008.
5. Send the entries to lindsay@lindsaywilsonphotography.com with "2009 Free Wedding" in the
subject.
The winner will receive up to 6 hours wedding day coverage with 2 photographers, a storybook album with 20-30
pages, and a CD of images.
I will select finalists by the end of this year, post the entries on my blog, and allow my
blog readers to cast their votes. My team and I will then use those votes
to help select a winner.
I can't wait to read the entries!

This Kind of Love :: 12.03.08
If you haven't heard this Sister Hazel song, you should go listen to it right now.
And this
kind of love makes me feel ten feet tall
It makes all my problems fall
And this kind of trust helps me to hold
the line
I'll be there every time
This kind of love it's what I dreamed about
Yeah it
fills me up
Baby it leaves no doubt
This kind of love it's why I'm standing here
It's something
that we can share
I can't enough of this kind of love
This kind of hope is what I try to find
And now I can't deny I believe
And this kind of faith is so unshakeable
It's unmistakable
It's bigger than me
[Chorus]
Your love can move a mountain
It makes my world go
round
It's always there to guide me
I'm so lucky that I found
This kind of love is what
I dreamed about
Yeah it fills me up
Well baby it leaves no doubt
This kind of love it's why I'm
standing here
It's something that we can share
I can't get enough of this kind of love
This kind
of love

Heather + Brad -- rehearsal dinner :: 12.02.08
I blogged Heather and Brad's wedding awhile back but didn't have a chance to blog their super cool rehearsal dinner.
They are both baseball fans so they had their rehearsal dinner at an Indianapolis Indians baseball game! It was one
of the most fun rehearsal dinners I have ever been to. Everyone just hung out and enjoyed the awesome weather, game,
and food.
Ken snagged a few shots of the game.

Brad and his brother, just hanging out.

Heather bought journals for each of bridesmaids and they took turns writing notes and their favorite memories of each
other in all the journals. What a great idea and fabulous memento for years to come!

Here is Heather with some of the girls at their journal writing party.

She was so spunky!

Hi, family!

Ken caught this one as is started to get dark. I think it is beautiful!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the sky, we had these gorgeous warm tones going on. Meet the bride and groom!

I loved the night sky!

Isn't the field GORGEOUS at night?

Seriously, there could not have been a better sunset that evening!

At the end of the game, there were fireworks! Fun!!!

This is one of my favorites from the day.

Heather and Brad, thank you so much for inviting us to share your rehearsal dinner with you! We had so
much fun -- you guys are amazing!!!
:::
Jessica + Rusty :: 12.01.08
I owe Jessica and Rusty a huge thank you for their patience with this blog post!!!
Jessica and Rusty, where
do I even begin? I loved everything about your day. It was perfect -- elegant and stylish, yet simple and classic
-- and really focused on love, family, and friends.
Jake snagged this shot of the rings. I think it's
sweet because two are better than one. Two can keep each other warm when it's cold...two can lean on each other...two
can comfort one another.

Jessica's shoes...

Rusty is probably the happiest groom I have ever met!
I loved the simplicity of her bouquet.
Meet Jessica's daughter Olivia.

Yeah, we had a good time!

It should be illegal for a toddler to have such amazing eyelashes. I am so jealous!!!

Jessica and Rusty opted to see each other before the ceremony. I love when couples do this because it really
allows ample time in private to capture some fun photos.

I love this light!

Rusty is looking pretty slick in this one. There is definitely a movie star quality with this photo!

Love love love the romance here!
If it were me, this would be my canvas. Yummy. (25% off now until the end of the year!)

Jessica's only request -- a photo of her and her dad going down the aisle. Jake grabbed this one.

After the ceremony, Jessica and Rusty released two doves.

And then 12 more doves were released!

Love it!

The cake was delicious.

Rusty's request. You see, he and Jessica play cards.

This is so them!

I loved the simple details at the reception.

During the maid of honor's toast...

Their first dance was incredibly sweet! I will never forget it. They danced and danced and danced and sang
to each other the entire time. I think the entire room felt the love they shared -- it radiated from them!!!
Jessica and Rusty, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day. It was truly amazing
and I wish you all the very best!!!
