Ken and I believe... :: 11.29.08
...in supporting small businesses, local artists, and people who provide stellar customer service. It was important
to Ken and me that our wedding invitations reflected who we are and what we like. The husband-wife team at evapaul made
it so easy for us!!! Ken and I knew we wanted a black and white invitation that said modern, classic, urban, and cool
all at the same time. Evapaul delivered just that. They even made us the coolest matching RSVP cards!

Seriously, go check them out at evapaul.etsy.com and tell them I sent you.
And yes, my middle name is Frances. It's not a name you hear very often and I happen to love it!

Happy Thanksgiving! :: 11.28.08
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent Thanksgiving with 23 members of Ken's family and had so
much fun! We definitely ate too much food but it was all so good!!! I made my famous mashed potatoes and a pecan pie.
YUM.
Please forgive me for slacking a little on the blog posts. I have been spending my time designing
albums, filling print orders, and processing photos for clients. I have a ton of weddings and engagement sessions to
blog, so make sure to check back soon!!!
P.S. Want a chance to win some super sweet goodies from Lindsay Wilson
PHOTOGRAPHY? Don't miss my 12 Days of Christmas, coming soon to this blog.

Kristen :: 11.21.08
Meet Kristen. She's a senior this year. I met Kristen and her older sister at their family's home in
Pendleton and we went out and explored the town. It was sooooo cold at first but Kristen was a trooper and it eventually
warmed up!
This one is a classic.

Isn't she beautiful?

This one is smokin'! It's probably my favorite of the day.
Can I have two favorites?

Kristen, I had a fun afternoon with you and your sister! Enjoy the rest of your senior year!!!

a special gift from me to you :: 11.20.08
It's that time of year -- the season for giving -- and I have decided to do another contest and give a very special
gift to a deserving couple. I believe with my whole heart that the world can be a better place if we all give freely,
regardless of how small or large the gift, without strings attached. It is my hope that I can give someone the gift
of remembering something important to them in a beautiful way, through photographs.
This is the reason I am going to
be shooting a wedding for free in 2009!
I am looking for a couple who has a wonderful story or has overcome great odds
and cannot afford a lavish wedding. I am not looking for false stories or a couple who simply wants wedding photography
for free. There must be a real need. I would absolutely love to be a part of a couple's backyard wedding and
give them a gift I hope they will treasure forever.
Here are the rules:
1. E-mail me the story of a couple who
really deserves free wedding photography for their wedding. Each entry must include a recent photo (about 900 pixels
wide) of the couple together.
2. The couple must be getting married in 2009 and already have a set date and location.
Please include this information in your e-mail to me.
3. The couple must be willing to be featured on this blog and
have their story posted here.
4. The deadline for submitting stories and photos is December 14, 2008.
5. Send
the entries to lindsay@lindsaywilsonphotography.com with "2009 Free Wedding" in the subject.
The winner will
receive up to 6 hours wedding day coverage with 2 photographers, a storybook album with 20-30 pages, and a CD of images.
I
will select finalists by the end of this year, post the entries on my blog, and allow my blog readers to cast their votes.
My team and I will then use those votes to help select a winner.
I can't wait to read the entries!

I do love shoes... :: 11.19.08
...and this is one of my favorite shoe shots I have ever taken!
Yeah, I am blogging a little out of order,
but this should get you a little excited for things to come! I put this image in my new sample album and it is getting
rave reviews. I actually processed this shot while on a plane with whole rows of people staring at my computer screen
and commenting on the photos. (I'll admit, it was a bit intimidating!)

:::
Ellie + Matt :: 11.18.08
Where do I start with these two? Ellie and Matt have known each other their ENTIRE lives. They grew up together,
played together, even took family vacations together. Now, they are engaged! I loved every minute of our one hour
engagement session. (I had to keep it short because Matt wanted to watch the Colts game, and well, Ellie and I planned
this session a looooooong time ago before football season was a realistic consideration!) For the record, Matt was a
great sport!
Okay, don't you think these two could model professionally?

Ellie told me that Matt hates pictures and doesn't do well around a camera. PLEASE! These two are the
hotness. Check out their blue eyes! (And no, I didn't colorize them.)

It is so obvious how much he loves her.

We were all a little creeped out by this location because it looked like a prison with barbwire fences but I assured
Ellie and Matt that it would provide some awesome texture. Plus, the light was soooo yummy. I couldn't resist.

And of course I had to shoot them in my favorite buttery light!

I LOVE this one!!! I love that they are just laughing and being themselves...

Aren't they hot?!?!

Seriously. They are going to make gorgeous babies one day!!!!!

Ellie and Matt, I had so much fun hanging out with you! I can't wait for your New Year's Eve wedding!!!
It's going to be killer!

Who loves shoes? :: 11.14.08
Ken and I certainly do! Our friends and family got a kick out Ken's Chuck Taylors. In fact, I think it
was one of the first things our wedding guests noticed!

These beauties were absolutely TRASHED by the end of the night. Seriously, the railroad tracks destroyed the
heels and the cobblestone streets destroyed the soles. Poor shoes -- but they do look good here!
:::
The fabulous Kiralee! :: 11.13.08
I have gotten sooooo many comments about how awesome my makeup looked for my wedding so I thought I'd pass along my
makeup artist's information. The credit for my AMAZING eyes and flawless makeup that day goes to the fabulous Kiralee
Hubbard, owner of EyeMAX.
Seriously, brides, check her out. She is worth every penny. Your makeup
will stay flawless throughout the entire day and I guarantee that your photos will look that much more amazing!!! Not
only is she super amazing at what she does, but she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.
Shoot her
an e-mail and tell her Lindsay Wilson PHOTOGRAPHY sent you.

:::
Heather + Brad :: 11.08.08
What a delightful day Heather and Brad's wedding was! They were married on a gorgeous day at Conner Prairie --
one of the best locations in the area -- and their wedding colors rocked the house. (You'll see what I mean.)
You
may recall this from their engagement session post, but Heather and Brad are two of the coolest people ever. Heather
is so witty, so gracious, so kind. Brad's love for her is completely obvious.
I know I haven't
blogged their awesome rehearsal dinner yet, so forgive me for going out of order! That post will make its way to my
blog soon.
When Ken and I arrived, the girls were almost totally ready, but they saved their dresses for me.
I always love a couple good getting ready shots -- especially of the bride getting into her dress.

I found the bridesmaids' dresses like this and liked the way it looked.

The rings! (Yes, the Converse box has significance.)

Told ya! Check out Heather's shoes!!!

Oh my, isn't she gorgeous?

Yep, she wore aqua gown.
Sometimes I have jokes!

LOVE LOVE LOVE that gown...

...and that smile!

Their first look! I always love when couples see each other before the ceremony because it gives us ample time
for private photos.

Brad is sooooo into Heather.

Sweet kicks!

A classic portrait.

My view:

Ken's view:
I love this one...

The guys are so tough, aren't they? Ha!!!

The girls requested this one. It is their tradition to do this shot at every wedding. Aren't they hot?!?!

I'm telling you, this one would be rocking on a wrapped metallic canvas...

Ken snagged this one and I love it!

Mmmm...tasty light.

The handsome groom in some tasty light!
I absolutely loved all the details at Heather and Brad's wedding and these lanterns were no exception. Photographers,
check out that bokeh! Yum.

My oh-so-hot husband shooting in the tasty light.

Their programs opened up and could be used as fans. Aren't these awesome? I know what you are thinking
-- August 16, 2008. (Please forgive me!)

The guests were invited to enjoy fresh popcorn before the ceremony. I had some and it was gooooooood.

One of my favorite moments during the ceremony...

The kiss!!!

I loved the light during their first dance. For those wondering, it was on the back porch of the Chinese House.

This fantastic cake was made by Classic Cakes in Carmel. I highly recommend them to everyone.

I had to throw a night time lantern shot in here because the sky was so beautiful.

And off they go in an old Thunderbird! Ken caught this amazing going away shot.

Heather and Brad, we had a fabulous time. We enjoyed every second of your amazing day!!!

life :: 11.07.08
As I sit here in my pajamas processing a wedding and prepping images for a new blog post, I thought I'd share one of
my favorite quotes with you all.
"Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love and to work and to play
and to look up at the stars." -Henry Van Dyke
Isn't that lovely? It always puts things in perspective
for me and makes me smile.
Since I'm supposed to put photos in my blog posts, here is another one from
Heather + Brad's wedding. I'll try to get the full post up this weekend. Enjoy!!!

P.S. Shots like this always look awesome on wrapped metallic canvases!

Blog Invasion :: 11.05.08
Hi everyone, this is Ken. I invaded Lindsay's blog because she's swamped and well, I thought I'd let you know
what she's been up to lately. Processing, processing, more processing, filling orders, designing albums, and meeting
with clients -- that's what. She processed almost an entire wedding while at the doctor's office one day last
week. (Yes, she still works when she is sick.) While she was getting a pedicure for our wedding, she was processing.
She even processed a shoot the day of our wedding while getting her hair done. I know that sounds insane but it's
true. She lets Jake and me shoot with her but she's a control freak about the photos and wants to process them herself.
That's right, I called my wife a control freak. But she is an adorable control freak, isn't she? See photo
below. (Side note: she is such a control freak that she wanted to shoot our own wedding...)

Lindsay has a lot of great things to share with you -- including the development of a new site and new albums.
If she slacks on the blog posts for a little while, please forgive her (because she is probably standing in line at the grocery
store processing your photos...for real).
-Ken

Nicole + Brian :: 11.02.08
It's about time, right? I promised this post over a week ago!
Nicole and Brian were married at Valle Vista
on a gorgeous summer day. Nicole was such a gorgeous bride and such a joy to work with. She has such a kind heart
and is one of the sweetest people I know. Brian is so easy going and compliments Nicole just perfectly. I felt
genuine happiness that entire day.
Nicole is a classic beauty.

The guys hanging out...courtesy of Jake.

Jake's shot of the rings.

I took this one. Gerber daisies are my favorite flowers!

Brian, the handsome groom.
Nicole turned around while walking and I had my camera ready. Isn't she gorgeous?

I loved everything about that day!
Meet Nicole's twin brother.
I LOVE THIS!
Sometimes, while shooting, people give me funny looks and question my methods. Hey, I do what I have to
do to get the shot, whether that means lying on the ground, climbing a tower, or balancing on a wobbly chair. This photo
was no exception. I loved the contrast between the door and the bouquet so I needed to umm...stage it somehow.

I dragged an ashtray over to the door, propped up the bouquet, and started shooting!
The bride arrived to the ceremony location on a horse and carriage with her dad and brother.

Doesn't he look proud?

After the ceremony, we headed off for a few private photos.

My view...

Jake's view. See why it pays to have two photographers? I can't get the same candid shot from two
angles!

Jake's take on my standard Lindsay Wilson PHOTOGRAPHY wedding shot.

We headed back to the reception for a few more photos. I loved their centerpieces, which were all created by
Brian's sister. She did an amazing job!

Gerbers make me happy!

The delicious cake.

First dance!

Brian's mom was so emotional the whole day. I think this is one of the sweetest, most sincere moments I have
ever seen between a mother and son.
During the toast...

I always get so excited when couples agree to go back outside during the sunset because there's such a small window
for this kind of light and the photos are ALWAYS worth it!

Told ya.

Nicole and Brian, thank yo so much for having Jake and me share your special day with you. We enjoyed every minute
of it!!!

I will be out of the office October 30 through November 3, 2008 for my wedding! You heard me -- my wedding!!!
Thanks for the continuous love and support. You all are such amazing people to work with. I will respond to email
messages when I return and don't worry, I will be back to shooting and processing in full force very soon.
Also thanks again for all the prayers for my dad. He is scheduled to have another surgery around Christmas time.
It is a real testament that he is able to attend my wedding this weekend!
All my best,
Lindsay
