It's rare that I'm on the other side of the camera! Thanks, Jake, for the awesome photo. More
coming soon (hopefully).

Tracy + Scott :: 09.26.08
Tracy and Scott had a delightful summer wedding. Due to their involvement in the community, they have asked that
I refrain from posting identifying photos on my blog.
You all know about me and my shoe shots!

I love this one!

Isn't Tracy's bouquet gorgeous?

A classic Lindsay Wilson wedding photo...

This one is so sweet.

Love the light!

Tracy had these orchids overnighted from Thailand! At the end of the evening, she sent me home with a vase full
of orchids -- how sweet!

Tracy loves dessert so I knew this cake would be delicious!!!

Tracy and Scott, thank you so much for letting me share your special day with you! I wish you both a lifetime
of happiness!!!

random Wednesday :: 09.17.08
I know, I'm slacking again with the blog entries -- please forgive me! I have been a busy bee processing weddings
and other sessions. More good stuff is coming soon, I promise!!!
I only have a few openings left for fall sessions,
so if you'd like to schedule something, now is the time to do it.
Speaking of fall, this is my favorite time
of year. I'm looking forward to sweaters and knitted scarves and corduroy and all the fun colors and textures this
season brings. And let's not forget about the harvest light -- so yummy. I can't wait!

Sofia :: 09.14.08
Sofia True is six weeks old and completely adorable. She is her parents' first child so they are just eating
her up! Can you blame them?!
She has been smiling for about a week now.
I love when babies sleep during sessions! Look at her adorable lips!!!

Her fist must taste good.
Adorable!
I think this is one of the sweetest moments between a parent and a newborn.

Katie, David, and Sofia, thank you for a sweet session. You all are an amazing family and I can't wait to
watch little Sofia grow up.

Anna + Joe :: 09.10.08
Anna and Joe were married on the north side of Indianapolis on July 4, 2008. It rained off and on but they were troopers
and Jake and I were able to get some great photos!
I loved her funky/urban shoes.

Jake's shot of the rings. Isn't Joe's hammered ring unique? I love it.

Anna chose the most gorgeous gown that I had ever seen.
I know why she's laughing so hard but I can't tell you!
Jake snagged this one for me.
Meet Sage (Anna's son) and the groom.

Sage informed me that he was going to be a model.
I caught this one of Anna just before the ceremony.

The new Mr. and Mrs.!

I LOVE this one! It's probably my favorite from the day.

I love this one too. The forest was just perfect after the rain.

Hot!
Can't you just feel the love?
Anna, you are a stunning bride.
GORGEOUS!

That's Anna with her beautiful daughter, Sunshine.
A red, white, and blue cake is totally appropriate for the 4th of July!!!
You should have heard the best man speak. People were laughing, people were crying...the best man even
teared up!
I always love watching the bride and groom dance together for the first time as a married couple.
Anna and Joe, thank you so much for allowing Jake and me to be part of your wedding day. You are an awesome
couple with a great sense of humor. Anna -- I will NEVER forget what you said to Joe in the buffet line!!! I wish
you many years of love, laughter, and happiness!

a house divided :: 09.08.08
Did anyone else watch the game last night?
You can tell from the smile on Ken's face that he snapped this
photo at the start of the game (hehehe). I know I live in Indy now but I'm from Chicago and I'm a Chicago girl
through and through!!!

my dad -- update :: 09.07.08
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! I cannot express how much you all mean to me. I am so blessed
to have such wonderful people in my life.
My dad is still in the hospital recovering from the procedure. The surgery
went well but there were some complications. He is anxious to rest at home in his own bed and I don't blame him
-- he was only supposed to be in the hospital one day! The good news is that the doctors believe all the cancer is gone
now.
Thank you again for the outpour of emails and well wishes. I will be returning individual emails this
week. I am amazed with all of the people who have been thinking about my family and me. You all are the best!

Laura + Victor :: 09.06.08
Laura and Victor met while Laura was visiting Costa Rica. She spoke a little Spanish and he spoke virtually no English.
The lack of a common language didn't matter to Laura and Victor -- they fell in love. Over the course of a couple
years and a few trips back to Costa Rica, Laura finally got to bring Victor back to live in the U.S.
Laura and Victor's
wedding had everything I crave in a wedding -- an outdoor ceremony, bright and punchy colors, details galore, a white tented
outdoor reception, an amazing couple totally in love, an awesome location (the family farm!) and an emphasis on photography.
Laura was an amazing DIY bride who allowed no detail to be forgotten. She is an artist but she should be
in the wedding planning business!!!
When I pulled up to the family farm, I saw the first detail of the day and I knew
I was in for a treat.

Laura has an obsession with trees and incorporated them into her big day. She and Victor even exchanged their
vows under the biggest tree at her family's farm house. (June 21, 2008 -- wow, you can see how backlogged I am at
blogging.) Did I mention that Laura designed and made these programs herself? I told you she's amazing!!!

Laura got ready at her mother's house on the farm. Isn't her dress gorgeous?!?!

Meet Laura's mom. She's making sure her daughter's veil is just perfect.

I love when the bride and groom share a private moment before the ceremony. If you look closely, you can see
Victor's reflection in the lower right corner of the door.

What a happy groom! His bride-to-be is pinning on his modern boutonniere.

So sweet!!!

Love it. This one would make an awesome album cover.

The florals were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

The ceremony was picture perfect.

Laura's bouquet.

I loved the florals Laura chose for her bridal party!
A fresh "pillow" for the ring bearer...

The centerpieces were all handmade by Laura. I heard stories of her working late at night to carve bamboo so
that every detail was just perfect.

The handsome groom!
Claire -- the oh so bubbly flower girl.
Little Claire with Aunt Laura.

Um, hello, beautiful! (She's wearing the necklace Victor gave her the night before, at their rehearsal dinner.)

Toss those petals, Claire!

Laura's brother walked her down the aisle.

My FAVORITE ceremony shot ever!!!

I do!

The new Mr. and Mrs.

This cake was sooooooo good.
First dance -- full of love and happiness!

Laura and Victor, thank you so much for your patience and for allowing me to share your big day with you. You
two are an AMAZING couple and I wish you all the happiness in the world!!!

my dad :: 09.03.08
I want to start off by saying that I am so fortunate to have each and every one of you in my life. I absolutely LOVE
what I do and I wouldn't change a thing. I say this all the time but I really do have the best clients. So
many of you have become friends to me and I am truly thankful for that.
That being said, sometimes I have to put family/personal
obligations before work obligations.
Not too long ago, I found out that my dad has cancer. He is just 55 and barely
2 years into his retirement, so this came as quite a shock to all of us.
Today is his surgery day. The surgeon
expects the surgery to go well but he won't know how bad the cancer is until he actually operates. Please keep us
in your thoughts.
Thanks again for being such wonderful people to work with. Much love to you all.
